CAS-One IR October Events Around The World

JFR once again welcomed 13,000 visitors from France and other French speaking parts of the world over the weekend, and CAS-One IR was there for the 3rd year in a row.

Thanks to our French Team of Philippe Mathieu and Melissa Golin,   who held many in-depth conversations about CAS-One IR at our booth. Whether it was a first hands-on demonstration, or a debate regarding the value of artificial intelligence in ablation procedures. Finally, the CAS-One IR challenge saw many competitors and was won by Jean-Marc Fanchamps from CHR Verviers. In this challenge, the participant had to eyeball an ablation zone and guess what percentage of the tumor and margin were ablated, and also choose a new target for a reablation. Of course, this was without the aid of the AI embedded in CAS-One IR, which can make both of these tasks far easier!

Scientifically, CAS-One®IR was mentioned during the session “Robotics and Interventional Radiology”. Baptiste Bonnet from Institut Gustave Roussy focused on “AI in IR” during his talk, where he disclosed the benefits of embedded AI for planning and ablation confirmation with nice pictures.

Looking forward to continuing discussions of benefits of AI for French patients.

Next up was the Southeastern Angiographic Society Annual Meeting in South Carolina, this smaller, targeting meeting was great to have more detailed, in-depth discussions regarding Quality Ablation. Angie Stitcher, Sales Director USA East and Thijs Stoker, Lead Clinical Application Specialist attended on behalf of the company and made a lot of new connections

Dr. Nadeem Shaida (Cambridge, UK), one of the foremost experts on CAS-One IR joined to give a video presentation on why he uses it for every case, and the benefits to the patient and the hospital, that he has experienced in over 100 patients treated.

CAS-One IR co-hosted an event with our friends from Medtronic at the famous ORSI Academy in Belgium last week. 12 participants, both surgeons and IRs came to hear about MWA with Emprint, and AI-driven planning, navigation, and ablation confirmation with CAS-One IR.

Dr. Fadi Tannouri from Hopital Universitaire de Bruxelles spoke about his positive experience with Emprint MWA, and Prof. Thiery Chapelle from UZA highlighted the results he has produced from nearly 300 patients treated in his hospital with CAS-One IR. Publication of the very low recurrence rates, and positive economic impact are under way.

The participants also spent two hours on the hands-on session after the lectures. Thanks very much to the folks at ORSI as well as the Medtronic team!
