AI-based segmentation was introduced to CAS-One IR last year. We were delighted when Dr. Andrés Enrique Madrid Vallenilla (Hospital Universitario Infanta Sofia - Madrid) and Dr. Andreina Olavarría Delgado (Ramon y Cajal - Madrid) analyzed 23 patients for time efficiency and feasibility of automated segmentation of organs and the vascular system of the liver.

The use of automated organ and critical structure segmentation is gaining acceptance in time-critical interventional procedures. Fast and accurate segmentation supports the creation of patient-specific treatment plans.
CAS-One IR of course also segments tumors and ablation volumes with excellent accuracy, but those aspects were not the focus of this research
