CAScination is showcasing the latest developments for minimally invasive tumor treatment at booth 11 at the European Conference on Interventional Oncology ECIO in Vienna from 22nd to 25th April. “As a leader in stereotactic tumor ablation we expect to meet our current and future customers for product demonstrations at ECIO”, says CAScination CEO Matthias Peterhans.
The four-day meeting will bring roughly 1.300 experts in oncology, radiology, nursing as well as other health care professionals to the Austrian capital, making ECIO one of the biggest conference on oncology worldwide. At the CAScination booth ECIO visitors will get the chance to see a demonstration of the latest updates of CAScination’s CAS-One IR, a stereotactic planning and navigation device for tumor ablation.
Recent improvements of CAS-One IR include the fusion of existing diagnostic MRI or CT pictures to make most difficult lesions visible and easy to target. The latest software update also increased the variety of ablation needle providers supported by CAS-One IR to ensure that CAScination is able to endorse users best in their daily practice. “We also offer specific discussion slots at our booth to define with us the milestones for the next generation of CAS-One IR software”, says CAScination CEO Matthias Peterhans.
Ever since its introduction to the market in 2012 CAS-One IR has proven to be highly efficient in the treatment of soft tissue liver tumors. To this date more than 1.500 interventions worldwide have been performed successfully. CAScination’s technology has now reached a maturity and reliability that also allows to apply stereotactic tumor ablation to areas like lung, kidney, pancreas and bones. “The Hands-on device training ‘Tumor ablation: Image guidance’ on Tuesday, April 24, 3 - 4.30 pm at the HDT room will give ECIO visitors an application-oriented introduction to our system”, says CAScination CEO Matthias Peterhans.
The annual meeting of experts in interventional oncology will take place from 22nd April until 25th April 2018 at Vienna’s Exhibition & Congress Center. 1.335 participants from 53 countries made the last edition of ECIO one of the most important conferences on interventional oncology worldwide. Symposia, scientific lectures and workshops complement ECIO 2018, focusing on the latest developments in radiofrequency, microwave, cryoablation, laser ablation and image guidance.
