The first Quality Ablations at MD Anderson (USA)

In 2024, we have dedicated significant effort to expanding Quality Ablation across the USA. We hired two experienced, dedicated team members. We attended the major clinical congresses and successfully onboarded the first US hospital to use Quality Ablation, the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. They recently completed their first 100 cases, and a poster featuring 84 of these cases was accepted at CIRSE to highlight their results:

Our key takeaways

• Prospective, single-arm, registry-based study.
• 84 subjects with 132 tumor treatments across all liver segments.
• All patients under general-anesthesia with complete muscle relaxation.
• 37% of patients had multiple tumors treated, 28% with multiple probes.
• 58% were CRLM, 15% HCC, 4% CCC and 23% other.
• 98 tumors with at least one follow-up
• Local Disease Progression was 7%.
• Improved instrument placement with High-frequency Jet Ventilation versus breath-hold.
• High BMI patients were treated successfully.
