The CASCINATION team continued a Congress-heavy January with attendance at SIO's annual meeting - this time in Savannah, Georgia, USA.
As a company, "Hands-On" sessions are sometimes sparsely attended, and sometimes a big hit. This SIO, the latter was definitely true. With well over 100 people in attendance, the first half was specific talks on planning, navigation, and ablation confrimation.
The speakers (Iwan Paolucci, Edward Johnston, Marie Beermann, Christian Overduin, Marco Calandri) presented many compelling arguments for using these technologies. At one point, the moderator, Bruno Odisio asked how many were using some sort of margin confirmation software, and one third of the audience raised their hands. It is a start, but there is a long way to go!
In the second half, the 100 participants rotated successfully through the stations - where at the CAS-One IR station, Marie Beermann shared her experience (1500+ patients treated at her hospital)
And as always, on top of the hands on session, our team had many successful booth interations - from curious med students seeing CAS-One IR for the first time, to heads of departments serious about taking some next steps to acquiring CAS-One IR
